Luminaire: Smart Scarf

I participated in a two day long workshop in collaboration with EnsaAD and fellow Parsons students from the Fashion and Design and Technology programs. During the workshop we were asked to imagine the future of scarves using different intelligent materials. In collaboration with artist Isabella Scott, we conceptualized and prototyped a fashionable scarf for cyclists. The scarf has a whistle embedded in the front and LEDs that rib the bandanna like scarf. Using a piezo sensor and lillypad, when the whistle is blown the LEDs light up making a safe, fashionable scarf for bike riders.
